Feb. 15 - Accelerate Durham - Ajax, Ontario (In-person event)


Accelerate Durham celebrates Black literature, culture, and entrepreneurship! Connect with amazing authors, explore diverse stories, and experience the power of representation through books.

Feb. 21: Legacy & Literacy Black History Month event - Downtown Toronto (In-person event)


Warner Music Canada and the Royal Bank of Canada have partnered with the Love of Literature to host the Legacy & Literacy event for Black History Month.

This event will feature live readings from Canadian authors @khodidill and @ilikebeingmebooks, activities, refreshments and giveaway.

Time: 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Feb. 22: Love of Literature ice-skating event - Brampton, Ontario (In-person event)

The Love of Literature Book Club's annual event will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Gage Park in Brampton, Ontario from 3 to 5 p.m.


Event Details:

  • The outdoor skating trail at Gage Park is FREE and open to the public

  • Bring your own skates or rent a pair on-site

  • Love of Literature will cover skate rental fees for all book club participants registered for the 2025 winter term


Not in Brampton? If you live outside of the Brampton/Mississauga area but would like to skate with other book club families, let us know! We can help connect you with local book club families to organize a skating meetup in your community.

Feb. 27: Black Children’s Book Week – book huddle (Virtual event)



Love of Literature Book Club founder, Danielle Norris, will participate as special guests at the Children's Book Huddle sponsored by I Like Being Me Books.
